Chaos Freelancer: A No BS Guide to Freelancing on Your Own Terms

FREELANCING ISN’T ALWAYS EASY

True Story - in early 2021, I was actually thinking about getting out of freelancing. The pandemic, homeschooling my kids, and just…everything had me about ready to jump ship. Where I would have gone, I don’t know, but “going internal” was a constant thought.

Ok, ok, ok, actual true story - I still think about getting out at least once a week. Sometimes once a day. Hourly.

Like I said, Freelancing isn’t always easy.

Since I started freelancing back in 2009 (with an ill-fated earlier attempt in 2007), I have made SO MANY MISTAKES, and I’d like to talk to you about them. I’ve also had some REALLY GOOD THINGS happen, and I’d like to talk to you about them too!

That’s where Chaos Freelancer comes in. It started off as a joke on #FreelanceChat, then morphed into me pretending I could write a book but has now gently settled on me realizing a newsletter hits just about right. If you are familiar with my particular grouchy take on freelancing and tolerate it well, you’ll probably love it.
